Newcastle’s newest icon has been given a big tick of approval by the city’s engineering fraternity.
The ANZAC Memorial Walk last night took out the coveted GHD Award for Overall Winner, at a special presentation hosted by Engineer’s Australia.
The cliff-top walk, which links Bar Beach to Strezlecki Lookout, was recognised for its innovation and historical links.
The walk was opened last year to mark the centenary of the Gallipoli landing and includes the names of local servicemen and women who served during World War I.
