MOTORIST CHARGED OVER DEATH OF CYCLIST

An unlicensed motorist has been charged over the death of a cyclist on the Central Coast yesterday morning.

A 52-year-old man was riding in the breakdown lane of the Pacific Highway at Wybung, when he was struck by a Nissan Pulsar just after six o’clock.

Police allege the 30-year-old Budgewoi driver failed a roadside breath test.

He has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, low range drink driving and driving while unlicensed.

He’s due to face Wyong Local Court on the 12th of January.
