Some cheeky Macquarie Scorpions supporters have fired the first shot ahead of Sunday’s Newcastle Rugby League grand final against Souths at Hunter Stadium.
This afternoon, former club president Nev Heaton and committee member Mark Chorusch drove a green and gold ute through Merewether, with the Scorpions team song blaring from the back.
Both teams will hold their first training run at the stadium tomorrow.
