NARRABRI COUNCIL DUMPS NORTHWEST AIRLINES
Plans for a Narrabri to Sydney air service have been thrown in the air with Narrabri Shire Council pulling the pin on negotiations with North West Airlines.
Council began talks with the company back in April and says it failed to fulfil its promise of a mid-year start date.
But the airline’s managing director says this was not the case.
“We haven’t presented them multiple start dates, we’ve kept them updated with what’s going on…unfortunately some of the allocation of slots, peak hour slots into Sydney has been the main problem and there is a limitation on the number of flights that regional New South Wales can take into Sydney airport.”
The company said more should be done to support regional airlines.
