SEARCH RESUMES IN NORTH COAST FLOOD WATERS

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has joined a search for a missing 72-year-old man, swept into flood waters, on the NSW north coast.

An air, land and water search recommenced at first light this morning at Larnook near Kyogle, after being called off last night.

The man was driving on Martin road at about 3.45pm when his vehicle became trapped in flood water.

Witnesses say the four-wheel-drive was swept a concrete causeway into Leycester Creek causing the car to flip, they then say the man climbed from the car and into a tree before being swept downstream a short time later.
