DURALIE COAL SEEKS LONGER TRAIN HOURS

Duralie Coal is seeking permission to extend the operating hours for the haulage train at its mine in the Gloucester region.

The train transports coal between the Duralie and Stratford mines.

It already has approval to operate 15 hours a day, but Duralie now wants 19 hours, between 6am and 1am.

The environmental assessment is being re-exhibited until the 27th of April.

It can be viewed on the Department of Planning’s website, or at Gloucester and Great Lakes councils.
