WATER RESTRICTIONS HOSED AWAY
Within a week, Tamworth water restrictions will be reduced from level two to level one, following a rise of water levels in Chaffey Dam.
Capacity sat at about 20 per cent six weeks ago, but has had a welcome boost thanks to the recent wet weather.
“Chaffey Dam this morning is at 42.5% and under our drought management plan from 2015, that’s the trigger point to ease restrictions from level 2 to level 1.”
Residents will now be able to water their gardens for two hours a day.
