A toddler is lucky to be alive after being run-over at a Banora Point unit complex late yesterday.
Residents say the driver stopped for a group of young children, but didn’t see the 21 month old boy.
“Stopped the car and tooted the horn and the kids ran off the road, but the little one was on the other side of the road and he just ran under the car.”
“He was caught under the car, the tyre was on his hand and I tried to lift it.”
“I helped Ray lift the car up so it wouldn’t squish him anymore then helped him mum pull him from underneath.”
The boy is in a stable condition in Gold Coast Hospital with bruised lungs.
Police are so far treating the incident as an accident.
