A 60 year old woman made a lucky escape this afternoon after crashing off a steep road near Tweed Heads.
Her vehicle hit a branch, stopping it from sliding 30 metres down into a valley.
She ended up in the passenger seat upside down.
Rescue crews delicately lifted her out.
She was taken to Tweed Hospital and police are now investigating whether speed or alcohol were contributing factors.
