Four people were left trapped following a serious head on collision between two cars on the Oxley Highway near Tamworth Airport this afternoon.
The crash happened around 3.30, closing the highway between New Winton Road and Goddard Lane.
Police are at the scene and the condition of the drivers and passengers is not yet known.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are underway.
