Inverell Hospital’s newest medical staff will begin their rotations from tomorrow.
The contract between Medical Directions Australia and Hunter New England Health will see the emergency department staffed 24-7.
The 10 medical officers will work alongside existing G-Ps on a rostered basis to ensure the hospital is adequately staffed at all times.
In November last year, it was revealed that Inverell Hospital had no doctors on duty for a total of 14 days that month.
