TALENTED JUNIORS LEARN ABOUT LIFE

The best junior rugby league players in the region have just completed their first commitment as members of the Greater Northern Academy program.
They attended a gruelling training camp, and while participants felt their skills improve, it was the tips about life off the field that had the most impact.
“Former NRL players Ben Ross and Steve Turner and that came down last night and spoke to us about what we wanted to do after footy, because footy’s not a long term thing. Spoke to us about our careers and that, what we wanted to do and there’s been a big emphasis on hydration and nutrition.”
They’ll return to Tamworth in two weeks for another training session.
