Logistics and supply chain company Toll People is expanding its business to meet an increase in industry demand.
The company specialises in recruiting people in the logistics, supply-chain, transport and warehouse industries. Specific roles include truck and forklift and drivers and supply chain logistics specialists.
Toll people Executive General Manager Grahame Doyle says Toll’s expansion into the Hunter is timely.
“In 2015 we saw unemployment in the region reach 10%, and we now hear that one in five young people are unemployed, we need to do what we can to assist the local community,” Mr Doyle said.
“While unemployment figures have risen, we’ve found that employment demand in transport and warehousing in the region has increased. So this expansion will aim to match those job-seekers with this industry and assist in their education and transition.”
“With the opening of these new premises, we have made a commitment to the local community that we will be here for the long term as part of our 14 offices around Australia.”
Toll People will operate out of premises on Griffiths Road Lambton.
