An additional $2 million dollar investment by the state government in the Tech Savvy Seniors Program has allowed the initiative to be extended.
“Seniors can come in absolutely free of charge and learn in a very non-threatening environment or a non intimidating environment how to use a smartphone, ipads and computers,” State Member for Northern Tablelands Adam Marshall said.
The program has already seen great success in Inverell.
It’s hoped the funding will see the initiative rolled out to other areas in the New England.
