One of Ballina’s oldest buildings could soon be knocked down, unless money is quickly raised for urgently-needed repairs.
Engineering reports have found the almost century-old Ballina Uniting Church, is in danger of collapsing and poses a public safety risk.
The church says it has been unable to raise the $180,000 needed to fix the structure and can’t fund it themselves.
They now fear, unless more money can be raised, Ballina Shire Council will issue an emergency demolition order at their next meeting.
