A 5-year-old boy is in a stable condition at Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital after he was pulled unconscious from a pool at Wallabi Point, near Taree on the state’s Mid-North Coast yesterday.
According to reports, a relative performed CPR on the boy until paramedics arrived.
He was then transported by ambulance to Manning Base Hospital in Taree, where he was stabilised before being airlifted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter transported to the John Hunter Hospital.
