Voters might be unsure of when they’ll be heading to the polls, but in the federal seat of Paterson, they already have a good idea of who will be campaigning.
This afternoon, former radio host Meryl Swanson won Labor pre-selection for the seat.
The political newcomer defeated rival Peter Kafer 84 votes to 9.
Swanson will take on incumbent MP Bob Baldwin, who announced he’ll stand again for the Liberals late last month.
