A Newcastle man is proving life it what you make it, today hitting the waves at Nobbys in the name of charity.
Tom Dow, who has a rare degenerative disorder, is raising money through a series of monthly challenges.
First up, it was tandem kitesurfing.
“Tom’s been out using the kite, training with that. And Tom loves his surfing as well, so this is another adventure for him.”
Despite their best efforts, Tom eventually had to turn back.
Not to be deterred – the 29-year-old’s already planning his next thrill-seeking adventure.
