CARDIFF MAN BITTEN BY DOG AS POLICE TRY TO ARREST HIM

policesignA Cardiff man will face court today, after he kicked a police dog as police tried to arrest him in Tighes Hill early this morning.

While patrolling in Tighes Hill, police saw the man jumping a number of fences in Mitchell Street.

Police set up a perimeter of the area and a police dog unit was called to track the man down.

They found him under a house in nearby Park Street, and officers say as the police dog approached the man kicked the dog.

The dog then bit the man on the ankle.

The man was arrested and charged with an outstanding arrest warrant and committing an act of cruelty to an animal.
