A further $245 million is being put forward by the State Government to kick start stage one of regional water projects.
Part of the funding will go toward Tamworth’s Dungowan Dam upgrade to start early works.
Deputy Premier John Barilaro says the project will create hundreds of jobs, firm-up water security and help to boost local business.
