JETS SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS AFTER LOSS TO VICTORY

The Jets will be desperate to attract some new signings in the January transfer window, after losing 1-nil to Melbourne Victory in round 13 of the A-League this afternoon.
Newcastle now hasn’t scored a goal in five-straight games.
Keeper Mark Birighitti was tested early – called into action three times in the first seven minutes.
The Jets countered but made a meal of one chance at the other end… while at least Archie Thompson gave the crowd something to smile about.
The deadlock was finally broken by the Victory in the second act.
The Jets had their chances to equalise, but couldn’t find a way through.
