Richmond Valley Council is warning potential attendees of the Indigo Evolution Festival at Busbys Flat, they could face contempt charges.
The three-day event was not approved by council, and today the Land and Environment Court issued an order prohibiting the festival from taking place.
A previous event application on the same site was rejected, due to bushfire risks and traffic problems.
