150 people marched this morning in protest over the Telco’s intention to move 108 jobs to Brisbane and Melbourne.
Telstra is only the tip of the iceberg what happens when the NBN is introduced and it is just as easy to employ people in metro areas with fast links in big buidlings to do all the work in regional areas?
where is it all heading this is the question that should be asked and what can we do to avoid this? can we start a way of recognising local business that keep the employment local and produce local?
I am fed up with the constant attack on Telstra. What I would like to know is how many of the Grafton Call Centre employees, and the 4000 to 5000 supporters who signed the Petition, have their personal telecommunication accounts with Telstra and how many of them have their accounts with rival companies?
