Three people are assisting police with their inquiries into an attempted armed holdup at the Adamstown post office this afternoon.
Just before three thirty an armed man entered the business and demanded cash.
Police swarmed to the area, stopping a car in a laneway in nearby Myer Park and took three men into custody.
