Volunteers in the New England and North West are being encouraged to apply for grants of up to $5,000 as part of the government’s $20-million Volunteer Grants program.
The grants are given to help make volunteers work safer, easier and more enjoyable, and can be used to help with costs such as equipment or first-aid training.
Applications for funding close December 9.
