Narrabri Shire Council has been successful in its bid to secure a total of $7.5 million in funding from the state government’s Restart program.
Late yesterday it was confirmed $5.3 million will go towards upgrading a number of timber bridges, which are impacted by freight movements in the shire’s west.
While the remaining $2.2 million was granted earlier this week to help secure Baan Baa’s water supply.
