Things are set to get wild along the NSW coast as the low forms and intensifies.
It will be cold and windy with large seas and swell.
Heavy rain will hit the coastal communities on the Central Coast and Newcastle region tonight and tomorrow while remaining mostly fine on the western side of the divide.
The low is forming just off the southern NSW coast where heavy rain and strong winds have already begun to build. An upper level cold pool will help intensify the low.
It will become very windy for the Central Coast and Newcastle districts tonight before building further north on the mid-north coast with large dangerous seas and swell also developing.
It remains fine and sunny inland.
