CENTRAL COAST POLICE OFFICER BITTEN WHILE MAKING ARREST
A police officer has been bitten on the arm while attempting to make an arrest on the Central Coast.
The incident occurred as police attempted to arrest a 32-year-old woman on Primrose Road at Hamlyn Terrace on Friday evening.
During the arrest, the woman allegedly bit the officer’s right forearm.
Pepper spray was used to detach the woman from the officer’s arm.
The officer was taken to Wyong Hospital for a tetanus shot and antibiotic treatment, while the woman was charged with multiple offences including assaulting police occasioning actual bodily harm.
