Vandals have damaged the Riverside cricket fields, just one week out from the beginning of the season.
Daylight revealed a number of tyres tracks across the pitch of the number two field.
The Tamworth District Cricket Association says the Northern Inland Cricket Carnival will still go ahead this weekend, but the vandalism could impact the start of the local cricket season next week.
