Mining giant Glencore has confirmed ALL of its Australian coal operations remain under review, following a 30 per cent share slump.
Glencore runs seven Hunter Valley mines, but in a statement today, assured the community that business locally remains operationally and financially robust.
State member for the Upper Hunter Michael Johnsen said today
“they assure me that financially they’re in a very good position in the Upper Hunter and I trust that that will continue on.”
Glencore is working toward reducing its debt level by up to 10.2-billion US dollars.
