Upgrade work at Newcastle’s Bogey Hole is finally nearing completion.
Recent big seas caused delays, but today the finishing touches were being applied to a new steel stairway and platform.
It’s estimated construction could be finished as early as next week.
The heritage-listed site faced closure due to safety fears, before the state government committed $360,000 for its restoration.
