WOMEN PAVING THE WAY IN BUSINESS

Business and community leaders sat down in Tamworth today, sharing ideas to improve women’s employment in male-dominated industries.

The University of New England’s Smart Region Incubator setting an example, as it helps startups grow their business.

Half of the founders within the program are women.

“I think it really just shows that there’s a lot of commitment both from right across the community in terms of supporting women to enter the workforce, to challenge gender stereotypes, to make their own decisions.”

The Women Paving the Way discussion rounded out New South Wales Women’s Week.
