WILLIAMSON RE-ELECTED AS CLARENCE MAYOR

Richie Williamson has been re-elected as Clarence Valley Mayor for an eighth consecutive term.

Councillor Williamson won last night’s vote 5-4 defeating challenger Jim Simmons.

Craig Howe was named Deputy Mayor, replacing Andrew Baker.

Mayor Williamson says his main priority is making the Clarence Valley financially sustainable for the future.

He also wants to assure residents that if approved, a proposed rates rise will be no higher than 4.7 percent.
