A DNA test has led to the arrest of a 41-year-old-man, following an aggravated robbery in Taree, earlier this year.
On June 9, an 86-year-old woman was walking across a car park between Albert Street and Victoria Street, when a man approached her from behind.
The man allegedly snatched the woman’s bag, before he ran off with cash and cards.
The woman suffered a dislocated right shoulder and significant bruises.
But a DNA analysis of the bag resulted in the man being charged.
He’ll face Taree Court later this month.
