MAN INITIALLY BELIEVED TO BE ELECTROCUTED DIED OF NATURAL CAUSES

Police have ruled out electrocution as the cause of death of a man at Soldiers Point Marina at Port Stephens north of Newcastle this afternoon.
The 55-year-old man was found deceased on his boat moored at the marina just before midday.
Initially police believed he may have been electrocuted.
Ausgrid technicians later arrived and disconnected the power from the boat so forensic police could investigate.
At this stage it is believed he died of natural causes.
