Drivers have been warned about further travel delays on Waterfall Way near Dorrigo at the end of the month.
Roads and Maritime says additional work will be carried out to reduce the risk of landslides and rock falls.
The westbound lane will remain closed near Maynards Plains Road for six weeks.
