MISSING WOMAN’S FACEBOOK ACCOUNT DELETED

Nearly 11 months on from the disappearance of Lake Macquarie woman Carly McBride, police have revealed her facebook account was deleted in the days after she went missing.

The 31-year-old was last seen on Calgaroo Road in Muswellbrook around 2pm on the 30th of September. Police believe Carly was going to the nearby McDonald’s restaurant on Maitland Road.

Police believe she met with foul play.

They now want to hear from those who may have been in contact with Carly on social media in the days leading up to her disappearance.

Hunter Valley Local Area Command Crime Manager, Detective Inspector Timothy Seymour said Strike Force detectives are continuing their investigation to help find answers for Carly’s family.

“Our ongoing inquiries and extensive searches have failed to locate Carly and sadly we believe she may have met with foul play,” Det Insp Seymour said.

“We also believe that may have people reported information via the Facebook page ‘Help Find Carly McBride,’ which was established shortly after her disappearance.

“We urge those people – if you’ve not yet spoken to police – to come forward.

“What you know could be the clue police need to help solve this mystery and bring closure to Carly’s family and friends; so if you know something, say something,” Det Insp Seymour said.

Carly is described as being of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 165cm to 175cm tall, with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes.
