A controversial job advert has been removed from the Facebook page of a Newcastle cafe, after making national headlines.
The owner of Vincent’s at the Coliseum in Mayfield, who spoke to NBN on Tuesday, placed the ad for a new barista, saying she wanted “real people” that didn’t use excuses “like depression”.
Thousands of comments, some attacking the owner, and others in support, were left on the page.

I would guarantee she accepts “depressed peoples” money, as a local I will never step inside this cafe again, what a judgmental piece of work she is, hope her world is perfect… And she never has to suffer from depression or illness. Yes I am a successful small local business and yes have suffered with depression.
