Police claim to have recovered around $250,000 in cash after raiding a home at Lake Macquarie overnight.
Officers allege the money was found alongside a handgun, as well as 15 kilos of cannabis, inside the Belmont North house.

32-year-old Peter Charles Ninnes has been charged with knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail in Newcastle Local Court, and is due to reappear on December 14.
