TWEED TO JOIN NRRRL
The field of NRRRL teams will grow next year, with Tweed Heads and Cudgen this week deciding to rejoin the competition, after playing in Queensland since 2011.
It comes after both Grafton teams joined the Group Two competition last year – making travel time more manageable for the border-based clubs.
Competition president Brian Rix says they’re still in talks with Billambil and South Tweed for next year – but under restructures planned by country rugby league, they may be forced to join the NSW competition in 2016.
