Gosford Council says it’s time to smarten up with sharps, launching its annual safe disposal campaign.
Now in its seventh year, the push is designed to raise awareness of the dangers of needlestick injuries, and how to safely dispose of syringes.
“Some of the data that we have shows that over 1000 kilograms in the past 12 months have been deposited, and that’s a significant number.”
15 chemists around the Gosford area are doing free sharps disposals.
