The former registrar of the Anglican Diocese of Grafton, Pat Comben, has been disciplined by the church for his handling of child abuse allegations, at the former North Coast Children’s Home in Lismore.
The former Deacon and former Clarence Valley Councillor has had his holy orders stripped, which means he’s no longer an ordained person.
A spokesperson says the decision cannot be appealed.
Last year, a Royal Commission into sexual abuse allegations found the Diocese of Grafton had denied responsibility for what happened at the home.
