COREY WEDLOCK IMPRESSES NEW BOWLS CLUB

A young lawn bowler from Urunga has impressed his new Sydney club.

Since joining the Cabramatta Bowls Club a few months ago, Corey Wedlock has been crowned winner of the club’s singles competition and is a member of the successful major fours team.

The 19-year-old apprentice greenkeeper is now ranked fifth in Australia in the Open Male division and will compete in next week’s Park Beach Open Singles event in Coffs Harbour.

Wedlock says he has his sights set on playing for Australia at the 20-18 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.
