Tamworth is gearing up to host the first Festival of Abilities, a free event that’ll take place at the Sports Dome, this weekend.
A number of games will be played, including wheelchair basketball and modified softball matches.
Organisers say the event is about demonstrating that having a disability is no barrier to competitive sport.
More than a thousand people are expected to attend, with interest from as far as Port Macquarie.
The festival starts at 9am on Saturday.
