A salvage operation was underway off Stockton Beach today, as the owner of a prawn trawler and some fellow fishermen tried to bring his stranded vessel ashore.
A bulldozer was used to try and drag the boat in, as was a four-wheel-drive.
The 12-metre trawler was beached on Monday after it hit the northern breakwall, and began taking on water.
