Disappointment for Belmont’s Jason Doyle with Team Australia finishing fourth in the Speedway World Cup Final in Denmark.
Doyle was one of our best, but in a tightly-fought contest, the Aussies were left to fight it out with Poland for bronze.
In the end Sweden overcame the hosts to claim the title.

Mitchell Hughes started as a tape editor in Newcastle in 1999. He became a reporter in 2004, working in Lismore and on the Gold Coast.
