CLARENCE CONSTRUCTION BOOM ALMOST DOUBLES

The Clarence Valley is experiencing a construction boom, with the value of building approvals in the area nearly doubling over the past year.

$88 million worth of work has been approved by the Clarence Valley Council in the 12 months to June, compared with $45 million in the previous financial year.

That includes 146 new houses, 39 commercial developments, and almost 400 renovations.

Mayor Richie Williamson says it’s good to see the numbers improving.
