CUTTING HORSE SALE GROSSES NEARLY $700,000

The annual cutting horse sale at Tamworth’s AELEC arena yesterday didn’t disappoint organisers, grossing nearly $700,000.

The top price handed over was $60,000 for a yearling filly, followed by the $40,000 sale of a ridden mare.

72 per cent of stock was cleared, with prices averaging more than $10,000.

Entries were down this year, but the National Cutting Horse Association says it’s more than happy with the results.
