She’s one of the highest ranked junior surfers in the country, and today Avoca’s Macy Callaghan proved she can compete with the best, taking out the Open women’s state title.
Callaghan surfed away from her opponents in the final, and it worked, scoring a two-wave total of 11.77.
She’ll now represent New South Wales at the Australian titles later this year.
