PIRATES EARN A PLACE IN THE MID NORTH COAST RUGBY UNION GRAND FINAL

The Port Macquarie Pirates will have the chance to defend their title against Hastings Valley, after taking down the Snappers in yesterday’s upper mid north coast rugby union final.

The home side went took an early lead, scoring its 26 points in the first half, before Coffs Harbour staged a spirited comeback in the second.

Port Macquarie were left with 14 players, after two were sent to the sin bin, but its defence held strong against the visitors.

Port cruising to victory and booking a place in next week’s grand final.
